I collected approximately one month of flight data of flights originating from and destined to the Helsinki airport in order to identify areas that are "non-feasible" from a residence point of view. The map contains a heat map type summary of the data i.e. the thicker/brighter the line is the more flights flew over the area. Red dots depict incoming flights and blue dots depict outgoing flights. Feel free to click on the map to get a summary plane types, what time they f over, on which days and how close they passed by. If I manage to motivate myself I will also create summaries of vertical distance to the plane. As a bonus there are also layers (but no data) of flights to and from the Malmi airport as well. Click on the icon on the top right hand corner of the map to toggle visibility of map layers and to change the background map.

Kartalla näkyy Helsinki-Vantaalta lähteneet ja saapuneet koneet noin kuukauden ajalta. Mitä tummempana/paksumpana viivat näkyvät, sitä enemmän koneita alueen yli lensi. Saapuvat koneet on merkitty punaisella ja lähtevät sinisellä. Karttaa klikkaammalla näkee yhteenvedon alueen yli lentäneistä koneista, ylityksen kellonajasta ja viikonpäivästä sekä etäisyyden koneeseen. Jos jonain päivänä iskee motivaatiopuuska, lasken myös pystysuuntaisen etäisyyden koneisiin. Oikeassa yläkulmassa olevan napin kautta voi vaihtaa taustakarttaa sekä hallita näytettäviä tasoja. Bonuksena napin takaa löytyy myös lennot Malmilta ja Malmille. Malmin lentojen päivä-, aika- ja etäisyystietoja ei ole kuitenkaan ole saatavissa.
